Unless you don't have a garden spot don't waste your money on these. I bought several with high hopes of seeing the great crops of tomatos as shown on tv.
I wasn't completely convinced they would work well so also planted tomatoes in a small garden spot. Despite using the best potting soil I could buy and fertilizing at the same times as I did the tomatoes in my garden, the tomato planted in the four topsy turveys did poorly. I harvested fewer tomatoes from all four of the topsy turvys than I did from a single plant in my garden. I can't recommend these.

I agree. This product is really great. And you dont have to use it just for tomatoes. I currently use the topsy turvy for my tomatoes, strawberries and my bell peppers.
My only recommendation is that you make sure you have a strong man around to help you lift it up to hang it. Once it is full of dirt it can get pretty heavy to lift.

Have been growing tomatoes in my backyard for years and just recently discovered the Topsy Turvy. I find that this product really helps make your tomatoes grow much faster and more lush. Not sure if the tomatoes taste any better, but I have found that my plants produce a lot more tomatoes.While you can make your own version of the topsy turvy, the actually product is a good way to start and to get a better understanding on how to make your own. Plus, if you don't have the time, it is much more convenient to buy it than make it yourself.
I highly recommend that you give this product a shot if you have never tried it before.
