Note that these binoculars offer 1000 PERCENT magnification, not 1000 TIMES magnification. 1000 percent is actually 10 times, so the ad copy should read 1000 % not 1000X. In some fonts it's hard to tell the difference between a lower case x and a %, but with the capital X here, it's obvious that it's wrong. The binoculars may be fine, but compare them to what are commonly called 10x50 binoculars (10 times magnification, 50 mm diameter lenses).
