What
is Melt It Off?
Mitch Gaylord is a four-time
Olympic medalist in gymnastics. He applied his
expertise in core training to develop the complete
Melt It Off program.
Mitch’s workouts
are designed to create ‘Leveraged Core
Action’ using the G-Ball to engage the
core muscles and radiate outward targeting every
major muscle group.
An independent university
study showed the average weight loss after just
three days was 5.5 pounds and one full size;
that’s pretty amazing.
Even at the bottom
of the Melt It Off website, where most diet
sites have a disclaimer saying “results
not typical”, it states that 5.5 pounds
and one size are the typical results after just
three days!
What
you get
The complete program comes
with:
- Program Booklet which is a journal to
track your progress on the program (body measurements,
photos, tips and inspirational messages)
- A detailed fitness schedule you need to follow
strictly for the first 3 days, including a complete
daily meal guide with recipes
- 3 separate
workouts on DVD: “Cardio Burn & Sculpt”
to build and tone lean muscle, “Sizzlin
Abs” to sculpt the upper abs, lower abs
and obliques, and the “High Calorie Melt”
to get your metabolism soaring to burn fat fast
- And the “G Ball”, a two-pound weighted
ball that is just a little smaller than a basketball.
The
Workouts
I was surprised when going
through the workouts by how difficult they actually
were. I have tried a lot of exercise videos
and am often disappointed by their ease. However,
with Mitch’s workouts I definitely had
to push myself the entire time and I felt like
the time spent was well worth it.
There are
three different levels demonstrated for most
of the exercises, especially the more challenging
ones. Each level goes up in intensity starting
with bronze, to silver, and gold as the most
difficult. The bronze and silver levels were
both pretty challenging and the gold was impossible
for me to do.
Mitch explains though that as
you go through the program you will be able
to move up in difficulty. I tried doing the
silver moves most of the time and the next morning
I was hurting all over! But in a good way, and
I could even see and feel that my arms were
already more toned and some definition.
Overall
I think this program is a great buy. It is definitely
challenging for anyone whether you’re
starting out at the bronze level or even if
you’re very physically fit and exercise
regularly. Mitch’s workouts with the G-Ball
are not the average exercises you see at the
gym.
That is why it’s also great if you’re
just bored of the same routine. Having Mitch
as the instructor is like having a personal
trainer in your own home; he is there coaching
you through the workouts, making motivating
comments keep you determined and not give up,
which is encouraging during the most challenging
parts.
I also really liked that through each
workout there is clock counting down in the
corner, so at any time you can check how much
longer you have suffer, just kidding. I would
recommend this for anyone who is serious about
getting in shape. Be aware that it is challenging,
but if you stick to it and follow the program
completely, you are guaranteed to get great
results.
