Why?
Customer service non existent, the live chat thing they must not speak English very well. I had to threaten them with legal/tv action if they tried to rip me off,you see they don't tell you stuff about having to enter codes etc when you purchase a second year, they can't find this stuff in the computer, then they claim that they are giving you a free code or year, when it is what you paid for. Magicjack are the worst nightmare any salesman has ever given you! on ripoffreport, I was one of over 500 complaints against them.
Now if you want to talk about actual call quality, its no better than my former company SunRocket or Packet 8, you lose packets very easily which has nothing to do with your bandwidth at all. It is about the poor quality that if you have too much running on your pc at one time or you are on the phone more than an hour, it sounds as bad as the worst cell phone call that would cut out if you weren't near a tower at the time.
