The food portion of the diet plan consists mostly of pre-packaged and pre-portioned meals, which you can either have delivered to your door or you can go out and shop for at a local Jenny-Store. For your meals you will also be encouraged to incorporate other healthy snacks into your diet, such as fruits, low-calorie dairy products, whole grains and vegetables which you will buy at any local grocery store and can be eaten whenever you feel hungry.

All meals are designed to have a caloric value of 1,200-1,300 calories and they contain around 50%-60& Carbohydrates, 20%-25% proteins and 20%-25%  fats. And you are allowed to eat 3 Jenny Craig meals and 1 snack every day.

A sample menu may be cereal for breakfast, a burger for lunch, chips for snack, chicken fettuccine for dinner and a chocolate cake for dessert.

As you see all the foods sound delicious and not so much like a diet. However, they are all prepared with an ideal amount of calories and nutrients to encourage weight-loss.

There are two main programs available to suit your needs. The In-Person support program is the one where you will attend weekly meetings, consultations and food pick-up at your local Jenny Craig center and the other is the Jenny Direct program which gives you over the phone support and food delivered right to you.

Besides the former basic programs you will also be able to select between 5 different plans depending on your needs. There is Jenny Craig for Women, Jenny Craig for Men, Jenny Craig for Teens, Jenny Craig for Spouses and Jenny Craig for Seniors. And for those who are vegetarian, they also offer an all-vegetarian menu to suit your needs.
