Some people say that this is a really awesome device an that just after minutes of using it they can really feel the burn in their arms and shoulders and that they are getting a pretty good workout in a fair amount of time.
Others are a bit more skeptical about the product, mainly because of the whole “As Seen On TV” nature of the Shake Weight and the dumb commercials which show really fit people using the shake weight and men with huge muscles.
If you hold anything that weights 2.5 – 5 pounds and shake it around it is going to burn calories and workout your muscles. In fact, just try shaking your arms in front of you for 5 minutes without stopping and you will most likely get tired as well.
The difference is that the shake weight is designed specially for this type of motion and so it will give you a better overall workout then just picking up a rock and shaking it around.
