When I ordered what I thought was one DVD, this company not only charged me for that DVD, but began charging my credit card for products I did NOT order. To me, that is equal with stealing. When I got products which I did not order, I was informed that I would not be refunded any shipping charges if I returned the products (products which I did NOT order). How long does a company expect to last in business when they operate with questionable practices? When I called to cancel the auto-pay, which I did NOT sign up for. They told me that I still owed them $19.99 and that my credit card would be charged for that amount in the near future. If you are thinking about ordering from this company, I suggest that you DO NOT DO IT!!!

I am a frequent and experienced online shopper and this the first negative review I've ever felt compelled to write. I am in my late 40's and have a large collection of well-used, surprised they still play, workout DVDs I have used religiously. I saw a commercial for these DVDs and thought they may help on days when low back pain makes normal crunches impossible for me. But should emphasize, I had very low expectations and was preparing for them to be a dud. But for $9.95, I could easily afford it and not care it would be my loss.
I purchased the 3 "workout" DVD for $9.95 and my first clue something was up was getting about 4 or 5 pop-up prompts at checkout to add additional items to my shopping cart, including a very unusual prompt to pay for expedited shipping for an inflated amount. Also the price of this limited set seemed to vary, starting out I believe at $12.95 and somehow I clicked on a page that offered the same package for $9.95, which I chose. I refused every pop-up order, amused and annoyed at how numerous they were, and refused expedited shipping as I was not having an "ab emergency." However, by checkout, somehow the total cost was up to $19.98 with standard shipping. ok, I still plunged ahead with my order. (hindsight is everything, the pop-ups really meant "CANCEL ORDER NOW".
Despite some of the reviews here, I was not impressed by the Ab workouts. There seems to be no reason to divide them into 3 separate workouts to be performed on 3 different days. I had no soreness whatsoever (a good sign you've actually worked your muscles somewhat) the following day, even though I did all 3 workouts during the same session. Also, having grown up when the pioneering Jane Fonda workout tapes came out, the exercises were oddly familiar and old-style??? Knowing a thing or 2 about exercise physiology, I should note that the whole point of crunches is to isolate your abs and not to move and thus rely on other muscle groups, thereby NOT using your abs. Ok, I thought, so I made a poor choice by purchasing it. Toss it in the relatively small pile of disappointing workout DVDs amongst a number of standouts.
Then a new charge for $26.98 appeared on my credit card. I contacted the company by email and quickly went to their website and started reading each web page in detail. So I then found out about this "monthly subscription" they deceptively sign you up for and then recalled all the pop-up add-on purchases and the ridiculous shipping charges added to my actual purchase. I promply returned the already shipped package I was charged for when it arrived but have yet to be refunded. Their web pages to track my orders online are suspiciously not working and read "page error." I called the 800 number and got a long recording to endure, patiently, (my punishment for buying this product) to get to an operator of some sort, was told "due to the popularity of this product, blah blah blah" message, went ahead on stayed on hold for a while but the line seemed to just go dead and I eventually decided my call was routed to somewhere outside the solar system and was not likely to be answered by a human. I had difficulty accessing the contact a representative online chat feature as it would not load until repeated attempts (maybe just my otherwise reliable highspeed internet conncetion). The individual who finally responded was "polite" but ultimately slippery, first stating when they receive my returned package (it was mailed back weeks ago - was it delievered by horseback?) I could expect a refund to my credit card in "4-6 weeks" (superb customer service, they must reaally be busy!) When I asked if they had received the package as it has been weeks ago, he suddenly said he would process the refund today, even though they had mysteriously not received it yet, and the refund should show up in 3-5 days on my account. This was all very polite on both sides but...PAY ATTENTION HERE: this is clearly not a legitimate company and I strongly suspect someone (maybe a 13 year old boy?) is selling this product out of their basement and making a profit at looking like a real company. YIKES!! Buyers BEWARE!!

I was really excited to get the product and try and until I realized I would be getting multiple DVDs and products without asking for it. There was never any indication that I would be put on a monthly subscription and charged every month. With the way the economy is now I find it horrible that a company would take advantage of it's customers like this. When I called to cancel the whole thing the guy on the phone wanted to offer me a 25% discount to continue the subscription...are you kidding me? No thank you. I want my money back I didn't know I'd be loosing. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

I tried the product, and absolutely LOVE it! It gets the side abs and is pulling flat my lower abs, which are an awful pooch. I am a martial artist, and even working out 3-4 times a week, I couldn't get that stupid pooch. This works!! HOWEVER, I ordered from Ebay! NOT thru any of the Crunchless Abs because I know what they do to you. My suggestion; go to EBay, look for Crunchless Abs. Even there, be very careful. The best DVD is the one that has all 3 10-minute works (standing, chair, and floor). That is the one that you want. If it lists Crunchless Abs 1, 2, and 3, that's the one.

Thanks to all for the honest feedback on the Crunchless Ab's deceptive billing practices. I was going to place an order, but now I AM NOT ORDERING!

Thanks for the info. I was about to order, but decided to read reviews first. Don't want the credit card hassles. Won't be ordering crunchless abs. Thanks all.

Too bad! Good product but deceptive marketing, billing and poor customer service. Someone should have told them that a good product would sell itself and probably have a better rate of satisfied clients coming back for more. As it is, I'll enjoy this video while still clamoring to get my charges reversed. Not worth the pain and bad name they're getting out the deal. If you just want the dvd, you may find on ebay for the real $9.99 without the subscription hassle!

WOW, am I glad I read these before really considering ordering! Thanks to all for the reviews, and I will definitely NOT be ordering from this company. Especially in the times we are in right now, every penny counts.

I have not tried this product yet. I am looking forward to trying it.

You should always research the reviews and the company. Look at what everyone is saying. Any offer that seems too good to be true - as this one - is. If you can afford extra charges and delayed/no credits to your card - go for it! This is not a good way to do business and Crunchless Abs knows it. Now you know it.

The Crunchless Abs company signed me up for a monthly program that is not mentioned anywhere on their website. They shipped me additional DVDs that I didn't order. The first time, I was to busy to check on it and thought maybe I had misunderstood something. When they charged my bank card the third time without warning, I called and they agreed to stop, but said I still owed them and additional $19.95. The phone reception was so bad, I couldn't understand half what he was saying.
Don't order from Crunchless Abs. The program might be good, but their business practices are definitely not honorable.

I wish I had read the review page before I ordered the first order. Like the others below, I did not know when I ordered the $9.99 video that I was signing up for a monthly program from the Crunchless Abs Company. My second order was $29.99. I received it yesterday, it goes back tomorrow. I wanted only one video, now I have 4 and a bag of equipment to send back.
If I could rate it a 0, I would but it won't let me rate below a 1.6...

I ordered the first video because I have back problems and sit-ups/crunches are difficult for me. Did not find most of the exercises "do-able" with a bad back. I also want to inform buyers that if you order from cruchlessabs.com they enroll you in a program and will ramdomly charge your credit card without permission and send you stuff you do not order. Even after several phone calls and sending back upopened merchandise they refuse to credit me. Not good business!

Once you buy the $12.95 plan you are automatically put into a monthly suscription plan where every month you receive more DVDs and more money gets charged to you. This was not made aware to me any where on the website or in my original shipment. I was only aware of this when I receive a second shipment of DVDs (that I did not order) and $19.99 was taken out of my bank account! I have written the company requesting for this subscription to be cancelled. I do not care how well this plan works if the company is not forthright and honest from the get go. I am extremely upset with this company and the tactics used to get more money out of us. Do not buy this product with out researching exactly what you are getting for your money and how often hey will be charging you.

Okay DVD but be mindful of packaging receipt. Crunchless Abs will charge your credit card and place orders you have not authorized.
