How To Apply Bare Minerals.

Bare Minerals are not only great for your skin but they are also really easy to use. Here is a quick guide on how to properly apply your bare minerals makeup for best results.

1. Clean your face well with soap and water to remove impurities – pat dry.
2. Unscrew the cap on the foundation container and gently sift the minerals from the container through the small holes into the lid. Take your brush and gently swirl the minerals up into the brush.
3. Tap the side of the lid with your brush to remove any excess minerals, which will keep your brush from getting “caked” with way too much makeup.
4. Gently swirl the minerals over your skin beginning near your cheeks and covering your problem areas (remember to use a circular motion as you apply your foundation).
5. Repeat steps 2-4 with the mineral veil powder and the radiance product (if purchased).
6. Now your skin should appear beautiful, youthful and glowing.
7. If you feel that you are not getting enough coverage, you may want to purchase a concealer which can help hide trouble spots.

Bare Minerals Review

Bare Minerals is a little pricier than some of the other mineral makeups out there (about $18 each) but I definitely think it’s worth a try. When I first used it, it took a little practice to get it down how to apply the foundation. My sister had to actually show me how she does it.

I really liked how light it felt and was shocked that I didn’t really need to put much on to completely blend it over my skin. Although the coverage didn’t last the entire day, from morning to night, it did last until the mid-afternoon. But I really don’t think any makeup lasts all day long.

I also really like that it has SPF 15 in it, and it’s especially great because most sunscreens tend to clog my pores and this doesn’t at all. I can actually fall asleep with it on and not wake up with that cakey feeling and also know I’m not going to break out because of it. That has been a major selling point for me because I do sometimes fall asleep and forget to wash my face, and before I used Bare Minerals I would break out every time I fell asleep with makeup on. It’s definitely nice to not have to worry about that anymore.

The only thing about it I didn’t like was that the powder gets all over the place when you put it on. Because it’s such a light powder, it kind of gets everywhere so you have to be careful and I usually put it on before I get dressed so it doesn’t fall onto my clothes.
