- Unscrew the cap on the foundation container and gently sift the minerals from the container through the small holes into the lid. Take your brush and gently swirl the minerals up into the brush.
- Tap the side of the lid with your brush to remove any excess minerals, which will keep your brush from getting “caked” with way too much makeup.
- Gently swirl the minerals over your skin beginning near your cheeks and covering your problem areas (remember to use a circular motion as you apply your foundation).

Bare Minerals Review Bare Minerals is a little pricier than some of the other mineral makeups out there (about $18 each) but I definitely think it’s worth a try. When I first used it, it took a little practice to get it down how to apply the foundation. My sister had to actually show me how she does it.
I really liked how light it felt and was shocked that I didn’t really need to put much on to completely blend it over my skin. Although the coverage didn’t last the entire day, from morning to night, it did last until the mid-afternoon. But I really don’t think any makeup lasts all day long.
I also really like that it has SPF 15 in it, and it’s especially great because most sunscreens tend to clog my pores and this doesn’t at all. I can actually fall asleep with it on and not wake up with that cakey feeling and also know I’m not going to break out because of it. That has been a major selling point for me because I do sometimes fall asleep and forget to wash my face, and before I used Bare Minerals I would break out every time I fell asleep with makeup on. It’s definitely nice to not have to worry about that anymore.
The only thing about it I didn’t like was that the powder gets all over the place when you put it on. Because it’s such a light powder, it kind of gets everywhere so you have to be careful and I usually put it on before I get dressed so it doesn’t fall onto my clothes.

Connie Cruz January 11, 2010 I just recently started using this product. It is so amazing. I have somewhat bad acne, and this stuff worked well to clear it up. It also surprisingly cleared my redness. The shades really do match mine, which is weird because I can never find a shade that matches perfectly. I love how light and airy it leaves my face--it's definitely the best foundation I've ever tried.

Jennifer Moore January 11, 2010 I love this line. I've been using it since 2006, when I first walked into the Bare Escentuals store at a mall here in Dallas for a sample. I have good skin in general, but this foundation makes me look absolutely amazing. The only qualm I have about it is that I can't order it online or over the phone...my skin tone isn't covered by the products as they stand. I have to get a custom blend from a sales associate, a mix of medium and deep to make medium deep. Still, I like how it makes me look, and the fact that my skin doesn't absorb it makes me really happy. I'll keep using it for years to come.
